Gaia Backyard Hafjell is a scenic and hilly course that starts from the sports store at Gaia, goes out on Nysætervegen, and then into the ski trail towards Pellestova. The course climbs towards the weather radar located 1080 meters above sea level, goes around the radar, and continues to the cairn at Hafjelltoppen. The race is 6.7 km long, and the start is every full hour – you must return before the hour is up to continue. In 2024, there were nearly 30 runners who started on lap 12 and thus ran a total of 80 km.
